Appurv Bhatia is well-known for his work in the areas of Compliance, Privacy and Security as policy & functional expert, working to balance Compliance risk with business needs, technology and growth opportunities. He possesses extensive experience in global compliance regulations and standards across Europe [GDPR, EU AI Act], Asia [India DPDP Act, Singapore PDPA, Middle East], US [CCPA, HIPAA], ISO, BCP/DR, Ethics, Fraud control and more, assisting clients with development and implementation of compliance programs.
With 20+ years of leadership experience in Healthcare, BFSI and IT, Appurv has worked in global roles with major organisations such as American Express, AXA, DP & Wipro as Global Head in in-house Compliance roles. As advisor he has been working with top consulting companies like EY, GuidePoint and governmental clients such as Dubai DIFC, Qatar National Bank, Oman ministry of Finance and more.
Appurv has Masters in Computer Applications, and is a certified Privacy Professional from IAPP-Europe and a Certified Internal Auditor from IIA-US. He is currently based between India & UAE.
Beyond work, Appurv is also the Founder/Director of non-profit organisation,
www.MasterVihaanFoundation.com. The foundation works in the healthcare domain – assisting young families going through medical emergencies and requiring support. For his foundation, he works with colleagues, friends and volunteers who are also passionately involved to fundamentally contribute and change the circumstances of families requiring support.
