Geetanjali Mehlwal

Geetanjali is a practicing lawyer before the Supreme Court of India and a Legal Consultant specialising in IP Due Diligences, Entertainment and New Age Media Transactional advisory for Indian and overseas clients.

She has been Legal Advisor for — 50+ Films, for celebrity production houses like Ms Kangana Ranaut’s Manikarnika films, Mr. John Abraham’s JAEL, Mr. Anubhav Sinha’s Benaras Mediaworks, Oscar winner Mr A.R, Rahman; Emmy Award winning Web Show ‘Criminal Justice’, Golden Globe nominated Indian films; and Prime Time TV shows. She has advised Telcos, Gaming entities, pioneered Gaming and Digital Rights Management laws in India and advised European and U.S. software entities in multibillion dollar investments.

Geetanjali often speaks at public platforms and has presented an Award-winning paper on “Bootlegging in the American Music Industry” for LES America and; trained Copyright Board of India. She holds an L.L.M. in Intellectual Property & Technology from Franklin Pierce Law Center,  U.S.A. (on a UN Scholarship program). She has previously worked with top tier law firms Like Luthra Law Offices and Nishith Desai Associates and, headed Legal departments of international studios (Disney UTV New Media, Moser Baer Entertainment, handling over 10,000 Film and Non-Film titles across Asia).
