An Associate Partner with lndialaw, Shyam is heading Real Estate practice of the Firm. Shyam’s legal career has a long and checkered history spanning two decades from the year 2002. Since then, he has been practicing in Mumbai and exposed to the commercial world of this Urbs Primus in the realm of law.

The foundation of legal concepts was hammered whilst in the course of deviling with Mr. Igbal Panjwani (Advocate and Solicitor) between 2002 and 2006. As a trainee Advocate, Shyam worked extensively on drafting Agreements and Conveyancing. After the initial spell, Shyam gained experience at diverse offices including Reliance (Navi Mumbai Special Economic Zone), Shapoori Pallonji, SD Corporation and SNG Partners.

Shyam has a rich experience in handing real estate transactions and projects. He is involved in joint development projects, redevelopment of MHADA Properties, Co – operative Housing Societies, Repair Cess Properties etc. He also has considerable experience on redevelopment of Slums. He is involved in many large-scale land acquisitions, land conversion, obtaining various approval such CRZ, SEZ etc.

Shyam also extensively worked on Civil Litigation in the Bombay High Court. He regularly appears before Real Estate Regulatory authority in Maharashtra.

During his career spanning more than two decades. Shyam represented developers, builders, promoters, investors, landowners etc. He also extensively advises corporate houses on acquisition of properties, commercial units, warehouses, etc. across the country.
