A full-time Associate Partner at INDIALAW, Rakesh specializes in the field of Banking & Finance, Structured Finance, Project Finance, Real Estate Funding, General Corporate Advisory, Insolvency & Bankruptcy laws, etc. He advises public sector and private sector banks, NBFCs etc. as well as borrowers in all aspects of the loan transaction, including, drafting and negotiation of the documents, advising clients on the regulatory and compliance issues etc. He has also advised clients on restructuring of the debt as well as issue of bonds/ debenture securities. He has also advised clients on securitization and direct assignment transactions.

He advises NBFCs and other financial institutions in complex Structured Finance transactions, which includes structuring of the transaction from the legal, regulatory and compliance prospective, drafting of documents and negotiating the drafts with the stakeholders etc.

He also has an expertise in Real Estate financing transactions and have assisted banks and NBFCs in various real estate funding transactions. He has also advised major players in real estate sector on real estate financing transactions involving development of commercial projects, extensive due diligence over land acquisition/ aggregation and necessary approvals thereunder, etc.

Prior to joining the Firm, Rakesh was associated with Vivek Malik and Associates LLP (New Delhi). Prior to that he was associated with S.K. Singhi & Co LLP (New Delhi). He has unique experience of working with lender like Axis Finance Limited (Mumbai) and trustee SBICAP Trustee Company Limited (Mumbai).
